Title: The Effect of Organizational Commitment as a Mediator Variable in the Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors: “An Empirical Study On The Directors of the Preparatory Schools in Damietta Governorate”
This study aims at identifying the effect of the organizational commitment on the relationship between the transformational leadership and the organizational citizenship behaviours (OCB); through conducting an empirical study on the directors of the preparatory schools in Damietta Governorate. The study proposed a number of recommendations could help the directors of schools and managers of directorates and educational district to raise the organizational commitment rates. The study also recommends maintaining the transformational management to achieve raising rates of organizational citizenship behaviours (OCB) for the good of the educational system.
Findings
: This study reached to the following findings
There is a relationship with a statistically significant positive effect of organizational commitment as a mediator variable in the relationship between the transformational management and the organizational citizenship behaviours (OCB). Partially, regarding the following and rejecting otherwise:
* Effect of the affective commitment as a mediator variable in the relationship between the normative effect’s two dimensions and the individual considerations of the transformation leaders, on one hand, and (OCB) with its two dimensions (OCBI & OCBO), on the other hand.
* Effect of normative commitment as a mediator variable in the relationship between the dimension of the ideal effect of the transformational management and (OCBI).
* The effect of Continuance Commitment as a mediator variable in the relationship between the two dimensions of the ideal effect and the individual considerations of the transformational leadership, on one hand, and (OCBI), on the other hand
