Governance Challenges: Achieving Sustainable Development in Developing Countries Dr. Ziyad Marie 2025 The research focuses on the governance constraints that may be addressed to enable sustainable development in underdeveloped nations. The study focuses on five primary governance obstacles impeding progress: rule of law, political stability, the quality of laws and legislation, government performance, and corruption. Using a theoretical framework as the foundation for a thorough analysis, the researcher assesses the relevance of these issues and recommends solutions. The basic goal of this study is to propose country-specific methods that improve global cooperation between nations, particularly among immigrant populations; they should also be equitable and environmentally sustainable. The study’s analytical approach entails a thorough examination of each governance concern to assess its current condition and identify its core causes, and suggest possible remedies based on empirical evidence. The inadequacy of legal frameworks and political stability to handle these difficulties was also addressed, with the conclusion arguing for alternative ways that address underlying challenges such as poverty, inequality, and citizen involvement. The study highlighted effective government, an emancipated society, and legislation to combat corruption as critical components of sustainable development. Additional ideas include the need for a worldwide knowledge-sharing platform for international collaboration, country-specific roadmaps addressing unique difficulties faced by all developing countries, and the identification of best practices. It also supports tight monitoring and assessment processes to ensure the constant evaluation and adaptation of development initiatives. According to this research, commitment to learning opportunities remains necessary to promote ethical leadership values among developing countries while engaging with stakeholders in government business so they can operate more openly. Impact of IT Competency on Organizational Agility With Mediation Role of Absorptive Capacity: Evidence from the Egyptian High Tech Driven SMEs Marwa Khairat, Prof. Passent Tantawi, Prof. Mohamed A. Ragheb 2025 The purpose of this research is to empirically investigate the relation among IT competency (ITC) and organizational agility (OA)with mediating role of absorptive capacity (AC) in the Egyptian high tech driven SMEs. The objectives of this research are: to investigate how ITC affects OA in the Egyptian high tech driven SMEs, to examine how ITC affects AC in the Egyptian high tech driven SMEs, to identify how AC affects OA in the Egyptian high tech driven SMEs, to test the mediation role of AC in the relationship between ITC and OA in the Egyptian high tech driven SMEs. The study followed the quantitative approach and data gathered from a survey of 419 acceptable responses. The results were analysed employing by structural equation model analyses (SEM) using analysis of a moment structures (AMOS) software. The main conclusions drawn from this study are: the direct effect among ITCand OA is statistically significant, the direct effect among ITCand ACis statistically significant, the direct effect among ACand OA is statistically significant, Finally, ACpartially mediates the relation among ITCand OA. This paper can provide valuable insights into the influence of ITC on OA within an emerging market context. These insights can enrich current understanding which often focuses on developed economies and shed light on how an organization’s ability to learn and adapt from external knowledge sources influences its agility in a dynamic environment. Focusing on the Egyptian High tech driven SMEs. Moreover, the research findings can inform policymakers in Egypt about the importance of fostering IT skills and infrastructure within organizations. The Relationship between Sustainability and Resilience in Supply Chains: An Empirical Study on the Egyptian Manufacturing Firms Ali Mahmoud El Damaty, Prof. Mohamed A. Ragheb, Dr. Mohamed H. Khalaf 2025 In the face of increasing environmental concerns, market volatility, and global disruptions, the imperative for sustainable and resilient supply chains has never been more pronounced. This study aims to explore the relationship between the implementation of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) practices and the achieved level of supply chain resilience (SCR) within the context of the Egyptian manufacturing firms. Employing a quantitative approach that includes analysis of survey data from 396 Egyptian manufacturing firms, this study reveals that SSCM practices are significantly correlated with enhanced SCR, suggesting that sustainability-oriented strategies are crucial for building resilient supply chains. This research contributes to the literature in several ways. First, it adds to the existing knowledge about the SSCM-SCR relationship in general, and within the developing countries context, in specific. Second, it adopts a new operationalization approach for the SSCM practices by merging social and economic practices within a single factor and separating supplier management practices from internal environmental management practices. Third, it provides empirical evidence for supporting the role of implementing SSCM practices in enhancing SCR within the developing countries context. Thus, this research offers practical insights for managers, aiming to fortify their supply chains against disruptions while concurrently advancing sustainability goals. It suggests that Egyptian manufacturing firms can significantly benefit from integrating environmental, economic, and social sustainability practices into their supply chain operations. This integration provides a competitive edge by increasing the resilience of supply chains, thus ensuring business continuity and reducing vulnerability to external shocks. The Effect of Psychological Empowerment on Employee Performance with Mediation Role of Job Satisfaction: Evidence from Egyptian Oil and Gas Sector Ahmed Adel, Prof. Mohamed A. The objectives of this research are: to investigate the relation among PE and employee performance, to test the relation among PE and job satisfaction, to investigate the relation among JS and employee performance, and to examine the mediation role of JS among PE and employee performance. The methodology used is focused on quantitative analysis utilizing an online survey tool to collect the necessary data and AMOS software for structural equation model analyses (SEM). The study’s findings revealed that: all the hypotheses are supported. Finally, the study found that there is a partial mediation effect of the JS among PE and EP in Egyptian oil and gas sector. Technology Acceptance Model as a Mediator Explaining Factors Affecting Online Education Mayar Farrag Singab Elsayed, Manal Elsayed Abdelhamid Shabbat 2025 Purpose – This study aims to provide educators with information concerning factors impacting the student’s willingness to use online learning. This is explained by the mediator technology acceptance model (TAM). The study investigates the external factors and the mediating effect of the perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness on the intention to use online learning. Design/methodology/approach Results are obtained from surveying 202 university students, 80 of which are undergraduates, while 122 are postgraduates. Public and private universities are represented in the sample, as 53% of the sample are private university students, while 47% are public students. 62.4% are students outside Cairo, whereas 37.6% are from residential areas outside Cairo. Smart PLS 3 has been used to test the hypothesis, directly and indirectly involving testing mediation. Findings - There is no direct relation between the instructor’s online self-efficacy, student online self-efficacy, and the student willingness to use online education. Nevertheless, there is a significant direct relationship between organizational support and student intention to use online education. Originality/value – This research adds to the knowledge accumulation of online learning studies, it discusses online learning in the context of Egypt’s higher education during COVID 19 crises. As, the Egyptian case provides an enriched applied case of a developing country that could face the negative repurctions of COVID 19 on the students in the higher education system. Data represent the educational form and level that might affect student behavioral intention to learn online. Having the TAM as the mediator affects the relations between variables. This study will provide educators responsible for the management and development of online learning with significant information about how students perceive online learning and ways to encourage adoption by students. Assuring Corporate Social Responsibility Reports: Motives and Challenges of Egyptian Companies Mona Ganna, Laila Aladwey 2025 This study aims at examining the contemporary practice of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assurance and exploring its future in Egypt. Forty-four managers working in Egyptian listed companies with a recognized CSR experience are surveyed to attain their perceptions on the issues examined. Kruskal Wallis test are utilized for hypotheses testing. Results reveal that the lack of awareness about the assurance importance and its high cost are perceived as the main hindrances of assurance reports in Egypt. Respondents’ level of experience has no impact on their perceptions of the Egyptian companies’ motives of to assure CSR reports. However, the respondents’ experience level influences their realization of certain challenges, such as the dearth of stakeholders’ pressure; the concerns about auditors’ independence and the lack of the awareness of importance of CSR assurance, that may limit Egyptian companies to undertake the assurance decision. Furthermore, respondents’ experience level affect on their perceptions of the urgency of unified reporting guidelines as well as the stakeholders’ pressure to enhance the future of CSR assurance in Egypt. In addition, the companies’ size influences the respondents’ perceptions about the identified factors that stimulates Egyptian companies to assure CSR reports, excluding the need to enhance the external reporting. Also, the companies’ size affects the respondents’ view of stakeholders’ pressure as a factor that imped Egyptian companies from undertaking the assurance decision. Finally, for each identified strand enhance the diffusion of CSR assurance in Egypt, our results report a significant impact of the companies’ size on the respondents’ perceptions. Sectoral Analysis of the Participation of the Public and Private Agents in the Production Activities in Egypt: An Efficiency Perspective Dr. Ashraf Helmy 2025 This study aims at examining the efficiency of the participation of the public and private agents in the production process in different productive sectors of the Egyptian economy during the period 2003-2018. The study utilized the Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA), also known as the Composed Error model, to determine the efficiency of a production function that consists of labor and capital, as inputs, and the generated value-added by the two productive economic agents, as outputs. The study found differentiated results across the productive sectors regarding the relative weights of the public and private agents and the efficiency of their technical performance, on the one hand, and the returns and contributions of labor and capital factors by the two economic agents in the productive sectors, on the other hand. The relative weak contribution of the public agents in the agriculture sector is commensurate with the low efficiency of their technical performance, and the sector is dominated by the private agents, which are relatively technically more efficient. Despite the technical performance of the private and public agents is almost equivalent in both the mining and manufacturing sectors; however, the public agents dominate the mining sector, while the private agents dominate the manufacturing sector. Regarding the services sector, the private agents perform with a relatively high level of technical efficiency and dominate the sector. In general, the study found that the relative weights of the public and private agents in different productive sectors in Egypt are, to a large extent, commensurate with their level of technical efficiency. إدراك العاملين للمناخ الأخلاقي وعلاقته ببعض العوامل الشخصية والتنظيمية: دراسة ميدانية على عينة عشوائية من موظفي القطاع الخاص في مدينة الرياض Prof. Mohammed S. AL-Amri 2025 هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مستوى المناخ الأخلاقي للعاملين في القطاع الخاص السعودي، والتعرف على الفروق الدالة إحصائيًا في ذلك المستوى، والتي ترجع إلى المتغيرات الديموغرافية (المسمى الوظيفي، والمؤهل العلمي، والعمر، وعدد سنوات الخبرة). استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي منهجًا، وقائمة الاستقصاء كأداة لها، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من موظفي القطاع الخاص، وتكونت عينتها من (273) منهم. توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج من أبرزها: (1) أن مستوى المناخ الأخلاقي جاء بدرجة موافق (2) وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا تُعزى لبعض المتغيرات الديموغرافية (المسمى الوظيفي، والمؤهل العلمي، وعدد سنوات الخبرة) (3) كما لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيًا تُعزى لمتغير العمر. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج أوصت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات والمقترحات لصانعي القرار في مؤسسات القطاع الخاص السعودي في مدينة الرياض. سجل الآن لقراءة الملف بالكامل
أثر إدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء على السعادة التنظيمية بالتطبيق على كلية الدراسات العليا والبحوث البيئية، جامعة عين شمس Dr. Amal Mohamed Mohamed Mustafa 2025 تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر إدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء على السعادة التنظيمية، حيث إن إدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء من الموضوعات الحديثة التي تهدف إلى تقليل الآثار البيئية الضارة وإلى تعزيز وتوفير الطاقة والحد من التأثير السلبي للتلوث الناتج عن الصناعات أو عن سوء استخدام الموارد المتاحة بالمؤسسات، وتسهم في التحول إلى بيئة خضراء مستدامة، وهذا ما تهدف إليه الرؤيــة الاستراتيجية لجمهورية مصـر العربية بحلـول عـام 2030 بأن يكون البُعد البيئي محورًا أساسـيًا فـي كافـة القطاعـات التنمويـة والاقتصادية للدولـة بما يحقــق أمــن المـوارد الطبيعيــة والاستغلال الأمثل لها ويدعـــم العدالـــة و يضمـن حقـــوق الأجيال القادمة من الموارد ويوفر فرص عمل مستدامة، ويســـاعد فـــي دعـــم التنافســـية. ومما لاشك فيه أن معظم المؤسسات والإدارات تفتقر إلى هذا النوع من الممارسات الإدارية الذي سيؤدي تطبيقها بالفعل إلى ترشيد الطاقة وحسن استغلال الموارد البشرية والمادية المتاحة ومن ثم زيادة الإنتاجية وتحسين الأداء. وإحداث سعادة تنظيمية لاهتمام هذه الممارسات بجودة العنصر البشري واستدامته. لذا كان الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو التعـرف علـى تأثير العلاقة بين أبعـاد إدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء المتمثلة في (التوظيف الأخضر - التدريب الأخضر - التقييم الأخضر - الحفاظ على الطاقة) وأبعاد السعادة التنظيمية المتمثلة في (الرضا الوظيفي- العدالة التنظيمية - علاقات العمل - الاتصالات). تم تطبيق هذه الدراسة على العاملين بإدارة الموارد البشرية بكلية الدراسات العليا والبحوث البيئية - جامعة عين شمس حيث إنها من الكليات المعنية بدراسة وبحث المشكلات البيئية ذات الطابع المحلي والإقليمي والعالمي، اعتمـدت الدراسـة علـى المنهـج الوصفـي التحليلـي، وتـم إجراء الاستبيان بالاعتماد على العينة العشوائية وتم جمع (30) استجابة من خلال رابط جوجل فورم. تمت معالجتها باستخدام حزم البـرامج الإحصائية SPSS. مـن أهـم النتائـج التـي توصلـت إليهـا الدراسـة وجود علاقة ذات دلالة معنوية بين أبعاد إدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء على السعادة التنظيمية بالتطبيق على كلية الدراسات العليا والبحوث البيئية بجامعة عين شمس. ومن نتائج الدراسة أيضاً قصور في عملية التوظيف الأخضر في الكلية محل الدراسة حيث أثبتت الدراسة عدم وجود أثر ذي دلالة معنوية للتوظيف الأخضر على السعادة الوظيفية. ثم اختتمت الباحثة هذه الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات كان مـن أهمهـا: ضرورة ربط أهداف الجامعة بالأهداف المستدامة عند وضع الخطة الاستراتيجية للجامعة، تؤكد على الاستدامة والمحافظة على البيئة وتساعد إدارات الموارد البشرية بالجامعة على جذب المرشحين للوظائف الخضراء لنشر ثقافة الاستدامة عن طريق الاستقطاب والتوظيف الإلكتروني مع التقليل من استخدام الأوراق للحفاظ على البيئة. وضرورة تطوير البرامج التدريبية بصفة مستمرة بأحدث ممارسات إدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء وذلك لصقل مهارات وخبرات العاملين بالجامعة .وتحسين إنتاجيتهم. واستخدام الأساليب التكنولوجية الحديثة قدر الإمكان في تنفيذ الممارسات الخاصة بإدارة الموارد البشرية الخضراء والحرص على المساواة والعدالة بين العاملين في تطبيق هذه الممارسات. سجل الآن لقراءة الملف بالكامل
